Convenient place in central Basel. Easy to get to from the freeway, and general location is good. Room clean, but small. Breakfast is fine, but nothing to write home about. Staff friendly. Would stay again if I needed a decent cheap option for one night.

The hotel is in a convenient location, relatively close to the city centre and train station either by foot or tram. The hotel itself is of an average standard (3 star, certainly not 4 star) and offers efficient service and average facilities. Quite expensive for what it offers.

I've stayed at Palazzo Hotel around 5 times in recent years for business, always with pleasure. The desk personal is extremely attentive to customer needs, and the place is quiet! breakfast buffet is really a treat. The room decoration is slightly updated (around 10 years old), a renovation could take place soon.
