We stayed in the larger suite of the chalet Rotstocki in Grindelwald in August 2011 with our 3 children and were stunned by the exquisite design and breathtaking views. We've never had such a relaxing week since we've had children and cannot wait to try again.

We have stayed there is the winter which is great for skiing but our recent late summer stay was fantastic. There is so much to do outdoors. The chalet offered us so much space both inside and especially for the time of year outside. I will never tire of the view of the Eiger from the bedroom window each morning.

The Chalet Rotstöcki, connected to the Schweizerhof, exceeded our wildest dreams. It was so spacious, stylish and luxurious (those bathrooms!) that we will be spoiled for life. The hotel was constructed in the year 1892 but has been refurbished. Rooms facing the mountains are really worth the steep tariff. The railway station can be viewed from the hotel window.
