....nor sure why I liked it so much but I did. Restaurant great, breakfast was a dairy food lovers paradise. Fondue was lovely and service was great. Rooms good, nothing outstanding but nothing too complain about either. Just a very good hotel.

Excelent location near the train station and in the heart of Zermatt. The room had Swiss quality, but an average vista. The hotel restaurant is really nice. It would be nice to improve a spa area. Quite expensive for a down season time. If you want to go skiing, be prepared for about 10 minutes walking.

Cars are banned in Zermatt so the added bonus if staying at the Hotel Walliserhof is no road noise. The prices in Zermatt are generally high and this place is not immune from that. Nevertheless the room and service here were outstanding. Very well located from the train station . Only stayed the one night but found the staff very attentive and wanting to provide a great experience. Certainly it would be on my list to return.
