We have been there for a one night. Hotel is clean and nice. Price is acceptable. Breakfast it easy but tasty. Service is really good and owner is really friendly. Amazing wiev on Matterhorn in some bedrooms.
Great little Swiss hotel. Very tidy and clean, funiture slightly rustique, but very charming. Super location for gletcher ski!
We stayed here for New Year. The Bijou was the only hotel that could accommodate a party of 8 at short notice.
The accommodation is clean and functional, but this hotel is definitely "basic". It is at the lower end of the Zermatt price range which means it's still eye-wateringly expensive.
What provided most entertainment (and provides a reasonable picture...

Hotel bijou is just a 5-10 minute walk from zermatt which is great to avoid the noise of the shops and tourists. It's in a great quiet location just 2 minutes from the gondola up to the ski hills. Probably best hotel in town id your here to ski, and food if your here to ski or explore the town....

My father and I stayed here in Nov 2009 while I was on a business trip to Geneva. The other reviews are correct. Small room (as most European Hotels are), beds were fine, traditional breakfast included in reasonable price, long walk (uphill) from the train station, take taxi cart or bus if you are concerned about the walk. Beautiful town...

The hotel is about a mile from the railway station and you can get the electric bus, 3 Francs, from outside the station.
The Bijou is a simple, no frills hotel which gives good value for money. It is spotlessly clean, comforable, and has friendly and helpful staff.
The bedroom and bathroom were of a good size and there was...

We stayed here for 4th of July weekend in 2009 and were very pleased by the simple, un-fussy room and comfy bed. Most notable is the absolute tranquility of the location, which is in a semi-residential area of Zermatt called Winklematten. No noise from cars, bars or rowdy tourists. Yes, it is a bit of a hike from the train...

great location for skiing. tip of the year is to leave skis and ideally boots at the lift as bijou is a little way up a quite steep path. service is v friendly, the food is basic but good and the rooms are a little dated but perfectly clean and quiet. the hotel has a fantastic view of the Matterhorn
