Hotel bijou is just a 5-10 minute walk from zermatt which is great to avoid the noise of the shops and tourists. It's in a great quiet location just 2 minutes from the gondola up to the ski hills. great location for skiing. tip of the year is to leave skis and ideally boots at the lift as bijou is a little way up a quite steep path. service is v friendly, the food is basic but good and the rooms are a little dated but perfectly clean and quiet. the hotel has a fantastic view of the Matterhorn
