When I initially read the tripadvisor reviews, I wondered how so many people could be completely divided on the owner of this hotel. Half of the people say he is friendly and helpful, and half say he is rude, hangs up the phone and threatens to cancel reservations. It makes sense now because with me, he was both! Initially, he... We stayed here for one night in July. The owner is a really lovely old man who is friendly and helpful. We had a room on the first floor. Our room had 2 single beds, sink & shower, table, tv and balcony. The toilet was located next to our room, don't think there were too many people staying there as... More

I would not stay here a second time. The positives are a pretty good location (although it was challenging to find initially) - and the rate was ok given the cost of zermat - and there was a high water pressure in the shower. We email to confirm the reservation and never received a response. We later called and let... More

I just got back from a 4-night trip to Zermatt, staying at the Cima Garni. This is a great value. Owned by a a nice elderly Italian man who lives onsite, it's a homey B+B. I paid about $60/night in high-season ... can't beat that. Pro: Location: Awesome, awesome, awesome. It's less than 200m to the train station, 2 of... More

Stayed for a week with friends and family and found the hotel perfect for a no-frills sporting holiday. Rooms are slightly outdated, but this is not what i personally like to pay for in a ski holiday. Breakfast was good and skiboots were dry every morning. The location is very good for the Gornergrat + Sunnegga trains. (After a heavy... More

I concur with the last reviewer. I just talked with someone at the hotel (in German). He was rude and hung up on me. I certainly was in no way rude to him, so I expect this is his true personality and approach to business.

My wife and I booked a room for a 3 night stay. When we finally arrived in Zermatt after a long day of driving and the train ride in, and contacted the hotel from the station to pick us up. Rudely the owner told me that our reservation was cancelled. He didn't give a reason just said that he tried... More

My family and I have been staying at this lovely little B & B winter and summer for 7 years and would not dream of staying elsewhere in Zermatt. Very helpful owner and his wife, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast and its location in the village takes a lot of beating. Central, quiet and a lovely garden. Fantastic views of the... More

I stayed here after a terrible experience at a hostel in Zermatt and although I paid around 12 euros more per person(double room), it is worth every single cent of my money! The owner is a really nice old man who goes the extra mile to help you. He gave us this wonderful room which overlooks Matterhorn and even lends... More

Location of Cima Hotel is good, just 3 minutes from station, convenient for carrying buggage. Environment is comfortable and clean. The owner is really helpful and nice guy(fat man), he give me a room facing the Matterhorn with a balcony and I can see it at anytime (Sometime the mountain color changes, esp. at sunrise..). Good prices$ with good breakfast.... More
