The hotel was terrible. No lifts and no showers/wc in the rooms unless you pay extra. It smells of urine and smoke all over the place and inside all rooms. Stayed at the Hotel Splendid on a layover to Amsterdam. The room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is situated walking distance to amenities and cafes, and easy walk to Central Station. Would recommend! P.S. Ask if your room has a telephone when you book -- I had to use the lobby telephone to make calls.
