Travelled by train and this was really close to walk to and from station. Staff was pleasant and the breakfast was decent. The neighborhood was very quaint and had great character. They gladly held our luggage for us while we toured the city before we had to leave.

Small hotel close to the Central tram stop and walking distance from the train station. I have visited this hotel many times on business trips. Rooms are somewhat small but comfortable and clean. Internet access point available in the lobby. English newspapers available at the breakfast buffet. Room rate is within average.

I have stayed in the Ruetli now many times for short business stays and it is my favourite hotel in Zurich. It is a great location, right in the centre but still quiet. Everything you need for a short stay, including a nice coffee machine in the room. Only things missing for me would be a bath and free wifi, but these are luxuries I can do without for a short stay. Great value and excellent location if you want to be close to central station. Oh, and very friendly staff too.
