I won't repeat all the comments on layout etc from other reviews, other than to endorse them! Easy to the station, good location, good restaurants, felt safe, watch out for the bike riders, they're mad. We had the Orange and Green rooms, which were fine. We were staying in the main house, Jan and Novella were lovely hosts and perfectly... More

I have mixed feeling about this place. Our train arrived later in the evening (around 9pm), and I informed the owners of this. I felt bad because I think we woke them up from their sleep. Novella gave us a quick tour of where the bathroom was, and showed us our room. It was on the top floor and the... More

My husband, our 2 year old son and I stayed 4 nights at the blue room during Easter weekend. Our stay was very comfortable and nice. We were a bit worried as we have not received any answer from Blue sheep regarding our arrival in the morning. We arrived there and got a pleasant surprise. Edgar, one of the housekeepers,... More

My husband and I stayed at the Blue sheep for three nights. We would definitely recommend the B&B to others as it was located very central, had nice rooms and friendly staff. We really enjoyed the breakfast where all the guests gathered around the big breakfast table, sharing their experiences of the city and enjoying the breakfast buffet prepared by... More

When we booked the Blue Sheep online (booked because of Tripadvisor reviews ! ) , the Orange room was the only option left for the 2 nights that we had to be in Amsterdam . Upon arrival we were initially slightly dubious , as we were informed the Orange room wasn't ready and that we were in the Studio ,... More

We stayed in Amsterdam for three nights and enjoyed the Blue Sheep as a base for our wandering. The owner and his wife are absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful, and have two gorgeous little dogs to boot. Kudos to Eddie for arranging museum tickets for us so we could skip the lines. Our room was clean, surprisingly spacious, and very... More

This was a great place to stay - and yes believe what everyone says about the stairs - really more like a ladder. But our room was clean and the lovely owners are very helpful. We were a 10 min. walk from Central Station, the Ann Frank House & the red light district. Great places to eat close by again... More

If you're after a very traditional and local experience, then this place is fantastic to use as a base to explore central Amsterdam, and I would highly recommend it. The owners were very lovely people, very friendly and looked after us exceptionally well. Booking was also a pleasure, with any questions answered promptly and politely. It's only a 3 to... More

This room was a great experience to say the least- certainly when coming from spacious Australia!! The stairway was so narrow and steep- if u are overweight or cannot climb stairs THIS Place is NOT for You! We booked for quadruple, had 1 bedroom and 1 fold out lounge - very squishy! Close enough to everything! The owners/caretakers were lovely,... More

Vacationers beware! We made several reservation requests via the Blue Sheep's online reservation form and none were confirmed or responded to. Neither were our emails. And when we finally got someone on the phone, they said they would call us back later that day, but never did. Weeks later, we called and, this time, were told that they "get a... More
