citizenM urges its customers to "choose a hotel that gives you the maximum for the minimum" and it says that this "means great locations and great showers, big beds and big towels, free films and free Wifi...big expectations for not so big prices." We have just returned from a weekend stay at the Amsterdam City branch and it delivered on... More

We loved this hotel, it is different than any other hotel we have stayed at. Although it is not in the center of town, it is very easy to get to. The service is excellent, the room is fun. The movie channels, internet service and telephone calls are all included in the price.

Very interesting room. The bed was the very best part as it was the largest that we slept in during our travels in Europe. Relatively simple to get into the downtown region and we were able to get a shuttle from the airport at 16 euros each. Overall a very fun experience and the bathroom is something that I will... More

Been to CitizenM in Glasgow and just had to try the one in Amsterdam for our trip. Not disappointed. Everything about CitizenM is great for a short stay from the easy check in to the funky style, great beds and showers and easy check out. (You will be disappointed if you want a huge room with lots of storage -... More

A very different hotel...young, hip and reasonably priced for Amsterdam. We enjoyed our stay thanks to the super friendly young staff and funky bedrooms. Having said that, it wasn't very comfortable to stay in the hotel room. Too cold (setting was max 23C, but was turned down at night), small and no place to walk around. The only option to... More

We stayed at citizenM for a long weeked in May 2012, from start to finish it was great. Easy check in with the computer system and staff were on hand to assist if required. Once up to the room in 1 of 2 lifts available we were pleasently surprised to see that every floor and room was indeed identical -... More

A bit of foray into the future of the hotel (or maybe, even a permanent residence) room in megapolis in mid-20XX. King size bed is what it is, locable WC, tiny shower, no privacy if you are not alone. Lack of personal touch from the staff if you need one, tech-controlled room. Overall, nice to try, but I need a... More

From beginning to end, "easy" sums it up. Dropped off our bags early first day (of a long weekend), staff waiting at check in machines to welcome us so mins later we were back off to explore the city. Once we worked out the tram passes (poor information at airport) we were able to use the tram station 50m down... More

This is absolutely my favorite hotel ever. It's so eclectic and different that it really is a relief from the usual stuffy hotel experience. It's particularly nice if you like to be independent when you travel because it makes it so possible to be more at home. Just steps from Schipol, it couldn't be better located to the stores and... The room is basically controlled via a moon pad (tv, lights, blinds and temperature) which was fun to play with, however the moon pad needed rebooting now and again as it lost the connections. Breakfast was ok although only continental, no cooked hot food. The hotels located in Amsterdam Zuid, so a tram ride from the Central area. Would stay... More
