We stayed at the hotel Vondel for 2 nights. The hotel was nice, the staff friendly and helfpful. Our room was a small double, but was by no means small, plenty of room, small sofa, large bathroom, good shower, I was very impressed and would stay here again. 10 min walk, great location and surrounding area.

Upon arrival at the Hotel Vondel I was pressured to switch to an upgraded room at a nearby sister hotel, Roemer. While the room was nice I had booked the Vondel because I'd stayed there before. Don't stay in the basement, other than that very nice

Pros: -Good location -Nice furnishing/decorations Cons: -Our room was on level "1" which is actually BELOW level "0" and happened to be RIGHT UNDER the reception that has old rickety hardwood floor..so we would hear people rolling their suitcases over the floorboards late night/early morning. Very disruptive. -No free internet/wifi
