I read the other reviews before I booked this hotel and selected this hotel for reasons I give below. The only good comments I can make are (1) the hotel is nicely located on the far edge of the Jordaan district in a quiet area and (2) the room rate was inexpensive and included a small but adequate breakfast. I... More

I absolutely recommend the Acacia hotel. We stayed there at the end of April 2011 and were very pleased. Staff was friendly, breakfast good and rooms clean and comfortable. There was a nice view to the canal. Location was also good, Jordaan is not too far away from the city centre but very beautiful area and nicely calm and peaceful.... More

Looked at this website, saw some good reviews and thus booked for 4 nights. We got there at ten in the evening to find a S**T hole. The room smells of urine, there are hairs in the bed, snot wiped on to the wall. The room was 2m by 3m if we were lucky. The next morning we left after... More

Booking was made via booking.com 3 months ahead for a double room with two beds. At arrival a room was booked on the 5th floor with no elevator. No other rooms were available. Service did not want to help bringing bagage to the 5th floor; while guest was my father of 70 years. Ridiculous! During the night, receptionist did not... More

It is a nice budget hotel on a canal in Jordan! We liked the district a lot with its cozy streets and canals, nice gardens and the atmosphere! Hotel Acacia is a good budget choice in Amsterdam for 3-4 nights! We paid 90 euro per dbl room with breakfast (which should be regarded as a good deal in Amsterdam)/ The... More

The Joordan area is awesome, The hotel is lovely and totally simple. Its pretty clean, the staff is nice and the breakfast is excellent....The best part...NO TOURISTS. its a neighborhood of mostly dutch residents that just work and live in the area but its a 15 minute walk to mostly everywhere. I will definitely be back and I think that... More

This hotel is so cute, comfortable and the staff is wonderful. The rooms are small and bare but clean and comfortable. It is located in the Jordaan area (safe and quiet) and on Sat there is a market on the street below. There is a great little bar across the street and within walking distance there are many good eats.... More

The bathroom terribly stinks; I had never taken a shower before wearing socks. So disgusting was the room. Furthermore, the staff is very unfriendly. At the time we had to pick our lugagge to get our train no personnel was in the hotel and the door was locked. After calling to the phone number the reception guy appeared 10 min... More

I spent 2 nights at Hotel Acacia and would recommend it as a great place to stay if you are on a budget. The rooms are a good size, very clean, lots of light from large windows, nice bathroom and comfy bed. The location of the hotel is fantastic, very close to the main train station, easy walk to Anne... More

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in July. Booked this place as most everything in the city was booked. The hotel is located in a great area (walking distance from train station and to Anne Frank House), but that is the only flattering thing I can say about it. It needs to be completely remodeled, and a coat... More
