A very cool place, a converted prison retaining many of the original features. A little out of the way, but that's no bad thing in busy Amsterdam!

I thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay in the hotel, due to the building and its history and location and veru friendly staff. I had chosen a 1 star room. Easybook suggested this room has a toilet and shared bathroom, but it turned out both toilet and bathroom are shared. A little disappointment but still okay.
Hotell Lloyd is a beautiful hotel, 10 min from the Centre of Amsterdam via tram.
Me and my friend had the greatest time in this great city, and Lloyd made it perfect.
a 3 star room, with great beds, but not the greatest bathrooms. loads of space though. including a giant closet in the hall, fitting room enough for a...

I returned to the Lloyd for a second visit this spring 2012 after a pleasing stay back in 2005. I have to say I left this time a bit disappointed. To be fair though I'll start with the positive parts of the experience:
The location of the Lloyd is great--it looks far away, but I consider its separation from the...

a great place full of history and charme great location only negative side the unwelcoming personnell at breakfast but nothing is perfect in life of course
Even though at first glance the Lloyd hotel seems a bit out of town, we found it to be a really great location. Just three tram stops from central station, and then the number 10 tram which stops right outside and takes you to all of the best bits of Amsterdam, we loved it! The hotel itself is modern and...

Stayed here and quite happy with the experience, the rooms aren't the standard hotel fare plus the building itself is interesting.
Room size : excellent
Bed : very comfortable
Staff : friendly
Location : not near the action of the Jordaan, but well located near to the 26 tram to Centraal, and the 10 tram to get elsewhere
Room Noise...

This hotel is a destination in itself, with so much history and a uniquely designed interior. We really enjoyed exploring the different areas of the hotel, including a plant room tucked in the basement, the "mini movietheater", and the historical staircase. The staff are also friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was nice. We did, however, upgrade our room...

We had lunch at the Lloyd Hotel Restaurant. First, we had oysters - they were so small we almost couldn`t see them. Then, a fish soup, which was completely tasteless and contained fishbones. The pate was average, but overpriced. Water is served in an unopened bottle, just like that. The wine (we had languedoc) was good. The food was so...

We booked a two star room, and weren't disappointed with the decor - spartan and industrial, and with a shower in the middle of the bedroom (or a bed in the shower, if you prefer). The bed was huge and immensely comfortable. However the walls are thin and the floors uncarpeted, so any noise really rattles through the hotel. Take...
