I've been staying there for 5 days and it was great and comfortable stay. It's really nearby to Amsterdam signature statue " I am Amsterdam" for the visitors that wanted to capture the moment with big hugs Amsterdam letter blog. The place quite far from the train station but you can use the tram . Easy location to go to... More

We recently enjoyed a stay at the Best Western Apollo hotel in Amsterdam which is a fantastically located hotel: next to the Rijks Museum, a block or two away from the Van Gogh museum, canal and canal cruise directly in front of the hotel, walking distance to the flower market and Leidseplein and close to public transportation. And a lot... More

Great location, approx 30minute walk into city centre.. Free wifi, rooms are a little on the small side and bathroom door could be an issue if sharing.. Frosted glass panels don't offer much privacy at all ! Rooms 600+ are accessed via 2 flights of very steep stairs.. Not ideal for elderly people at all ! Overall seemed expensive compared... More

I was in Amsterdam on a business trip and didn't have a say in the hotel. The hotel was well looked after. The room itself was very small, very little room to move around. The beds are narrow and very tight together. There was no hot drink making facilities maybe this isn't as common as in the UK. The bathroom... More

After reading some average reviews about the hotel, I am happy to say that everything was perfect during our stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable and the location was great. There is even a guy on the front desk who looks like the Australian Olympic long jumper!

This hotel has seen better days. The rooms have old brown furniture and the curtains and dress cushions are tinged in grey dust. Also the actual pillows you have to sleep on are very cheap and appear to be filled with lumpy bits of foam. So you won't get a great nights sleep either. I would not recommend this hotel... More

The hotel has a very good location, but the rooms are small as well as the bathroom. The room was so small, that there was no place to unpack the suitcase. In the part of the hotel, where my room was located, there was no elevator and the stairs were steep and very narrow. It was very inconvenient, especially that... More

We stayed at the Apollo Hotel in Amsterdam for week. We liked the hotel because it was convenient to most attractions. The area was also quiet at night. The tram stop is one block away. We would go back to this hotel in a heart beat. Note that the rooms are small if you are from North America. The staff... More

Although well situated for the centre the room was very small and the bathroom tiny. Check your bank account when you get home! We booked through Laterooms.com so only needed to pay for breakfasts on checking out. However, on arriving home and checking our account, found that we had been charged an extra 403 euros. When we emailed about this... More

Popped over to Amsterdam for a few days at very short notice [4 hours!] Even in this cold, rainy weather, the place was buzzing and all the decent hotels booked solid. However, we managed to get the last room at the Apollo MuseumHotel . Check in was very friendly and helpful with no waiting. We were shown to our room... More
