The major plus of this hostel is that it was located very close to both the train station and the main square of Amsterdam, so it was possible to get by on foot. It is above a "coffee shop" so if the smell of weed bothers you, I would recommend looking elsewhere as it was quite strong throughout the hostel.... More

Great location, only 2 minutes to Dam Square. The place is safe as the police station is right next door, and the policemen even came to pay us a little visit, who saw everything and said nothing. The only good thing about this hostel is its location, but there are plenty of reasons why this accommodation is so cheap for Amsterdam. The whole place is dirty and dilapidated and infested with pests. I have come back covered in bed bug bites. The facilities offered are not as advertised and there is no TV, WiFi or 'common room'....
