when arriving outside is very plain but inside is clean & reasonably modern.twin room with good size bathroom/shower.no tea/coffee facs.breakfast continental,eat all you can.lots of coffee needed!staff all helpfull.

Large and very clean establishment... almost like a hospital. Around the corner from the red light district, but I found that out only by the red-light markers on Falconplein... no scandalous establishments close to the hotel. I spent a couple of days at a conference in Antwerp and found this nice hotel in a guide book from last years visit to Brugge. I had a single room with a very clean and nice bathroom. The room was everything but not clean.. The place was infested with insects, mostly mosquitos. I myself killed some 10 of them. The 'Zeemanshuis' is a simple hotel, very sober but clean rooms. When you are looking for a cheap place to stay, the Zeemanshuis is a good location. This is a cheap hotel with no frills, but still worthwhile staying here. The building is a bit dated (from the 50s or early 60s), but it's clean inside and everything works, including the lift.
