Stayed here during the first weekend of May, I normally ignore the negative reviews here on Tripadvisor and book purely on instinct. However, after reading previous uncomplimentary reviews and I'm now inclined to agree with some of those.. We booked a Superior Room which was nicely decorated and fairly spacious but it didn't have a shower and there was a... More

I love Brugge and Belgium and was excited by my Birthday Trip. Hotel Jacobs or Jacobs Hotel looks amazing and traditional for a couple of days break in this beautiful little part of Belgium. DONT TRUST THE WEBSITES PICTURES. We arrived at the reception to check in, met with a young man (with huge love bite on his neck) who... More

We came to Bruges simply to visit the Chocolate Museum and chose this hotel for it's proximity to the Market Square and what a delight it turned out to be! We arrived very early, around 10am, and while we knew our room wouldn't be ready we hoped that the hotel would allow us to drop our luggage there while we... More

We stayed at Jacobs Hotel for a leisure trip across Belgium (Brussels, Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp) from March 31 to April 05. The hotel is ideally located to the historic city center, in 5 minutes from the famous 13th century Markt square at the heart of Bruges with its renowned restaurants and a stunning tower The Belfort, in a very quiet... I was really disappointed when we arrived, the Hotel was being renovated, we did not know this when we booked. Our room was pokey, scruffy, and the bed was broken, BUT when we spoke to the owner the next morning to ask for another room, We got one.The owners have taken on a tired Hotel, that was fully booked and... Hotel was ok but we were treated disgracefully by hotel days after we checked out. After checking my credit card statement, I was charged EUR100 extra without my approval. When queried the staff explained this was because we apparently stole 2 towels when this definitely was not the case. I disputed this and explained that I was insulted to be... More

Was offered a very good deal for our family room. 2 rooms that connected - our room had the bathroom and a massive very comfortable bed. Hotel offered free parking and a lovely bar area for a drink. Breakfast was good but the addition of more choice in bread would have slightly improved it, but really no complaints about it.... More

Jacobs is well positioned to get from the E40 without getting too lost and is a short walk into town. Our room was clean, tidy if a little dated. It had a bath and shower which was great to return to after strolling all the beautiful cobbled streets of the city. Breakfast was buffet style with a modest choice that... More

Came from a more expensive place in Brussels to Jacobs and was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are clean, bathrooms spotless if a bit on the small side. Breakfast provided was also very good. Staff are very helpful and polite, quiet location only a 7 minute walk from the centre of town. Very good value and highly recommended.

Travelled on my own but ended up with the 4 poster bed room. Very quiet area apart from church bells - but that applies to the whole of Bruges. Very welcoming staff and easy walk to the centre (around 10 minutes). Breakfast was buffet style and loads of it. I had no problems finding out where everything was in the... More
