A well located, clean, comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Does exactly what it claims. We've been twice and will return.

The hotel is far enough away from most of the bars and restaurants. The walk back up the hills is a total killer. Also Lagos seems to have muggings and alot of drug users about. Overall Hotel Montemar is a spacious and comfortable place to stay and in walking distance to the main strip. However the bed sheets upon arrival had blood stains and the hotel staff weren't very friendly which makes this an average rating. Breakfast daily is included but very basic.

Chose this hotel because the apartment we had booked was not available for whole stay. Montemar was conveniently located nearby and had a reasonable discount on Late rooms.
