Stayed at Whale'come ao Pico as part of a Whale Watching trip with Dolphin Connections. Hotel was basic, clean, small and perfect for what we needed, being out on the ocean most of each day it was good to come back to a hot shower and good food served all day in the hotel bar/café. Thoroughly recommended.

There are not too much places like this in the middle of the Atlantic for sure. Very nice and cozy place with very good food. Despite some large (and noisy) groups that sometimes arrive by bus, the restaurant is very calm and the quality of the menu regarding price and options will reveal good surprises of meat to vegetarian dishes,... did not stay at the hotel, but ate there regularly. the food is the best around, staff always ready to help. the view from the tables outside is hard to beat, with a clean line of sight to the mighty pico mountain. sitting there and having a drink when the sun sets became one of our favorite pastimes while on... My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights while on the island of Pico. The room was very clean and although small, we didn't spend much time there but to sleep. During the day we toured the island. And when we were there, we spend time at the tables outside the restaurant or in the restaurant itself. Everyone was... More

We didn't stay at this hotel, but we did eat at the attached restaurant - awesome food, good price, great service. We enjoyed it so much that we went twice in a 6 day trip! The pasta carbonara was our favorite dish.

We stayed for two nights. the room was very small but spotless and adequate. The sean and harbour view means you also are over the outside bar area and the coast road - so expect some noise. We found it acceptable and it didn't go beyond 10.30 or so. Self serve juice, coffee, cereals, breads for breakfast, lunch and dinner... More

I went in August 2012 with my girlfriend. Quickly about me: I'm a 29 year old guy who's seen a lot and has stayed everywhere between the best hotels and the shadiest hostels in the World. I try to review things as they are. So: This is a lovely bed and breakfast, perhaps as lovely as bed and breakfasts get.... More

I enjoyed Pico, and I enjoyed Whale'come and Espaco Talassa. A tip about the noise level I have read some complaints about- they (apparently) recently opened an extension up the road at Casa do Flores. We got placed there automatically, but I am sure you could request it. It's about a 5-10 min walk up the hill from actual Whale'come,... More

We stayed here for a week as part of the 'dolphin connection' package. The hotel is very clean and the staff always efficient and helpful. They organised our taxis perfectly (and re-organised them when our flight was delayed). The meals were great value & very tasty and we ate their most nights - you can even get a litre of... More

If you visit the Acores to experience a few days back to the roots, no hectic, no media, no entertaining, just sounds and sights of nature, this is the place to be! Whatever you need, there is always somebody available with advice and support, meals are really good, staff is extremely friendly and guides are extremely knowledgeable.
