very nice laid-out resort with 2 nice swimming pools, but not much else to occupy 4 teenagers, and with lots of little children around they got frustrated at times. We had a T3 villa, which was very roomy, but minimalist. Lots of annoying ommisions to the kit, like 2 small saucepans and a dish for self-catering 6 hungry people! No... More

We had'nt hired a car. my daughter took public transport from the Airport which is not to be reccomended. My wife and I took a Taxi. The driver agreed that the fare would be Euros 35 but on arrival it had gone up to Euros 49. The rooms are large and well furnished with aTV with a few English channels. The... More

Vila Bicuda is not quiet as lush as the nearby Villa Quinta Marinha, which also has villas, but the rooms and villas are a decent size, the pool is much bigger and the cleanliness and staff are great - really helpful management. The internet is also a much better deal and there is a good cafe on the site, though... More

Vila bicuda is an impressive complex of villas, a substantial amount of them are privately owned so the resort is largely occupied by the portuguese who use the villas as holiday homes on the coast. the complex is around 10 minutes drive to the bustling town of cascais, there are a few geographical sites to see nearby such as boca... This is not really an hotel by a resort that is partially exploited as an hotel. There are a number of 'villa's' (in fact they are attached or semidetached) houses and some studio's. We made the mistake of booking a studio. These are situated round a square and don't have enough privacy. After one night we paid for an upgrade... More

Just back from a 9 night stay in a Vila Bicuda 2 bed house - not directly owned by the resort. The complex is extremely clean, and very well attended to. Each of the two pools has it's own attendant cleaning, tidying, putting out sun lounger cushions (and picking them up again when they blow away). There is an Italian... More

Just spent a long weekend in Vila Bicuda in a studio, which was a bit worn out, cheaply furnished with Ikea stuff and ill equipped. The compound is really for families, the pool area was full of small children screaming and running around, so not really very relaxing at all. Also we found there was a peculiar smell in the... Had some difficulty finding the hotel with the map provided online. Would recommend using mapquest, with to and from directions. Vila Bicuda is on the outskirts of town and not on the street maps they have for tourists! Hotel itself was great. Perfect place with families. Rooms were huge. Had a full kitchen, dining area, walk out sliding door. Rooms... More

I really enjoyed my stay here. I booked in for 1 night in an apartment and we were upgraded to a villa. It's a very nice place. There is a lovely coffee shop opposite reception. The villa was lovely, has all the extras. It is a little too far outside Cascais (2.1km) so we moved to stay in the centre... More

Just returned from a lovely holday at this gorgeous complex. Nothing much to add as previous reviews have coverered most subjects. Just to mention pillows were quite plump and lumpy so I asked at reception and within hours a flatter pillow was delivered - super service from reception and indeed all the shops/food outlets. We stayed in a 1 bedroom... More
