The hotel owners and staff treated me like I was a guest in their home and to me--as a woman who was traveling alone-- this was very much appreciated. They emailed me Christmas greetings the past 3 years that the next time I visitied Portugal, I stayed with them again. The place is always clean--- you can smell it too....
