Couldn't have felt more welcomed as a solo traveller. Clean, lovely breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Bit noisy one night with a large group next door but I was still on English time so should have been partying too :).

Stayed on this hostel in both winter and summer holidays and I had a great time, every time. The location is spot on, the staff is beyond friendly and very knowledgeable about the city, the atmosphere is second to none and the price is low. Highly recommended.

Hi all, I recommend the hostel because of the location, personal (especially Joao, the soul of the house), vibes and tidiness. One star in voting is left out, because not all installations (like electrical (e.g. sockets), or water (the holdings of the shower) are in good condition. But If you can live with that, it´s perfect.

a simple friendly place. Great location. João and the team are fab. It's not as plush as some as the hostels in Lisbon, but those places often have no atmosphere and are full of nervous travelers. The beds at Lisbon Old Town Hostel I could sleep in all day - sooo comfy. cheers guys!

I recommend the hostel because the great staff, location and great atmosphere... I stayed there for 3 nights, really near from best pubs and metro/buses.. Lisbon is great and beautiful, and the hostel was very important to complete my great trip arround portugal and europe...
