Really enjoyed our time at Hotel Britania. The room was large and comfortable with everything we needed. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful (even when we dripped all over the reception floor having returned from a very wet walk!).
Thoroughly endorse what has been written before. Excellent position, being on a quiet street but near enough to the city centre to be within walking distance (but with a handy metro station if you don`t fancy the walk back). Staff can`t do too much for their visitors. Raquel was particularly positive and helpful when we had problems with cancelled return...

I don't know what I can add to the reviews already written about this hotel, but there's a reason it's the #1 ranked hotel in Lisbon, especially by those of us who speak English...or American English, anyway. I've never before stayed at a hotel where the sole objective of the hotel and all its staff seemed to be to make...

Great location for sight seeing and restaurants/bars. The hotel is full of art deco charm, including the furniture in the huge bedroom. The free cakes and Port in the afternoon was a great idea before getting ready to out in the evening.
Great hotel, wonderful 1940's decor but completely up to date. Stayed 2 nights. The room was spacious and comfortable and the wifi was free. The location is central and the staff attentive. I would not consider staying anywhere else in Lisbon.
Can only reinforce previous comments. The friendliest reception / door staff we have come across - nothing was too much trouble. Quiet location off main street with excellent transport links, buffet breakfast really good to set you up for a day's sightseeing. Good size bedroom with lovely comfy bed and aircon ( needed as temp didn't drop below 20c during...

For over a week our stay at the Britania never ceased to please! The location is a few steps from the Metro, bus and tram lines you will need to move smoothly around Lisbon and get to and from the airport. You can walk through traditional neighborhoods and eat in local family run restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is not...

This hotel seems to be in a back street, but is actually very well located just off a lovely main boulevard within walking distance of most sights. We paid extra for a room with a terrace - which was nicely designed. The shower is over the bath - a slight disadvantage, and the view rather drab. However the staff were...

My wife and I had a lovely experience in this hotel. 1-Location: it's in a quiet side street, but just 500 m from the Metro station and 10 minute walk thru a clean and beautiful promenade to the heart of Lisbon. 2-Service: The staff are really smart & helpful. 3-Rooms: very spacious, comfy and clean bathroom. 4-Breakfast: it was not...
