The receptionist called João was very friendly and as soon as we had a question he provided us immediately with clear answers and information. Rooms are OK and breakfast suffices. In all a good hotel for a city trip!

The location is great, close to the main street Avenida Liberdade, breakfast was OK, rooms were cleaned regularly. Nothing to complain. If you want a place to be for a few days while visiting Lisbon, choose Nacional. We were there for New Year's 2011/2012 and did not regret it at all.
Showers attached to the wall, no shower battery. Pretty...

Clean room, good beds, good location (close to Marquis Pombal square)
We were looked after very well by the whole team. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and clean. There was a (rather dark) lounge with sofas and a large flat TV on the wall, which was switched off most of the time except when a trio of loud American women were watching VHS and screaming about Michael...

We stayed in this hotel for seven nights and ended up leaving quite satisfied.
The staff were very forthcoming. My room itself was very well-kept and relatively comfortable. The bathroom was rather small, but not uncomfortably so. As far I could see, there was only one accessible electrical wall socket.

We arrived by taxi early morning, 9.30am and our room was available to us, considering check-inn time is 14.00hrs. We asked if we could join breakfast to start the day and that was not a problem. Thank you so much for that. Room was fine. Breakfast was fine. Cleaning service from the rooms was fine. But when we had to...

Hotel Nacional is a fine hotel and worth all its three stars. I stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed it. Good service and a decent breakfast available in the morning. Bathroom has all the required facilities and the tv set is fine as well.
At first I was quite happy to find that I was booked in a room...

There was one last room left which was a top floor suite but it was given to us for the standard room rate of about 75...

The hotel is very well located. Near Marques de Pombal and Av. Liberdade.
It is possible to reach Rossio, Baixa and Chiado in 15/20 minutes walking through the streets...
And besides this, it is silent and calm at night...
The hotel has to change the furniture. It is old fashioned and the carpet is worn and old.

The hotel is in an excellent location with easy access to public transport. The hotel was clean, rooms spacious (by European standards), and the staff friendly and helpful. There is some traffic noise at night but it was not too disturbing. I was able to sleep without a problem.
Breakfast consisted of cold cereals, yogurt, cakes, bread, cheese, cold cuts,...
