The house itself and the surroundings are very exquisite. The rooms individually decorated, the breakfast a feast. But what really sets the place apart is the kind and generous owner, Candida. On top of this the nearby Sintra (A UNESCO heritage area) offers a handfull of world class attractions within few km. A repeat customer since 1990.

We were lucky to find this small guest house, only ten minutes away from Sintra. Candida is the perfect host and she really makes you feel at home. The house is beatifully decorated, the room very comfortable and with a great view to the Pena Palace- a dream setting! Breakfast is a must!

We stayed in the hotel for two nights in a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere. Excellent breakfast and very good service. I know that I will stay in the same place whenever I come to Sintra.

It has become a tradition to come to Quinta das Sequoias every year; because of the house surrounded by the wood of Sintra, the silence, just some birds around, fantastic view to the Palacio da Pena, beautiful garden and swimming pool, just a few rooms, all decorated with antiques, excellent breakfast, very warm and familiar atmosphere: we will come back!
