A real find, Villa Juvenal was in the centre of town but simultaneously calm and very relaxing. Owner is charming, ready for all questions and presented an imaculate flat. We now return each year.

The apartment is very near the old town but we could have done with a map because the way is not immediately obvious. The best description is come out of the apartment head towards the bay and keep going till you hit the sea! You then turn right along the bay and end up at the fruit and veg market.... More

We spent a week in the lavender cottage, (or garden apartment) in late May. The apartment is spacious and very clean. It is fully equipped with everything you would need. The bathroom is lovely, with a walk in shower and a bath. The veranda with table and chairs and swing chair, made for a great place to spend an evening... More

We had a fabulous weeks stay in Villa Juvenal. We rented all three apartments for the week to attend a family wedding in Funchal. Our three children ages 9, 14 & 18 loved the pool and ourselves the peace and privacy the Villa offers. About 10 minute walk to the nearest large supermarket...downhill ...but best to get a taxi back... More
