We stopped in at this Hostel for a couple of nights. Francesca ran a great walking tour for free, dinner was well priced and we were joined by the family for the meal where we had a great night chatting to everyone. Great views over the town from upstairs, though the Hostel is a short walk to the river front.... More

Great hostel: clean, bright, very friendly, and very centrally located (albeit on top of the Ribiera, which makes the walk from the waterfront a bit of a quad-killer). A few late-night chats with the international staff over port wine and cheap beer, which is great especially during the low season and fellow travellers were few and far between. Lots of... More

Poets was a nice hostel. It was very clean and some of the rooms were spacious ( the four bed was tiny). They made us move rooms every night for four nights which was very annoying! The location is ok it is a long way from the river but I guess it is better as you can explore the new... More

This was definitely one of the best private hostel rooms I've stayed in all over Europe (I stayed in the Oporto Poets Privates which is in a house of its own less then 100m from the main hostel)! The room was huge, and the Private Rooms are in a nice little house typical for Porto. The view from the terrace... More

This hostel is one of the cleanest and quietest hostels that I have stayed at. The rooms and bathrooms are well kept, the breakfast in the morning is delicious and the dinners that are offered every night are more than worth 8 Euros! I was here before the big festival June 23, so at night it was really loud due... More

Oporto Poets Hostel is one of the best I have stayed in. It offers a free walking tour, which when we took it, it lasted over an hour. It was very informative. We had free breakfast every morning and it was good. Dinner was excellent. Anna was willing to share her recipes with my sister and they kept filling our... More

I would totally recommend this place, we stayed in a twin room with amazing views in Travessa Do Ferraz (the hostel has two locations next to each other). The best was having breakfast in the lovely terrazza. Very convenient location to visit everything, I wouldn't recommend it only for people with moving disabilities as you have to take a pretty... The hostel all in all is great: nice rooms (we stayed in a private one), cosy common spaces, everything clean, location near the centre of porto. The only big complaint we had it that the room did not have enough heating. It only had an old electric heater on the wall which did not manage to warm up the space.... More

I enjoyed my stay here absolutely. I slept here very good because it was much more quiet than where i stayed in Lissabon. The hostel is just next to the city center but its not noisy. I didnt see any insects so as another person wrote. The staff is helpful and very friendly. (one exception was that one of the... More

When we first arrived here, I found the place charming. And it does have it's positives (the whole literary slant, location, the activities they offer and the weekly dinner you can attend, etc.). But the negatives predominate. 1. The insect factor is crazy. I have a feeling that this is exacerbated by the fact that in the back there is... More
