Arrived here with no reservation and I was given the choice of a suite and a nice de luxe room.... A warm welcome! The Hotel is very quiet and comfortable. I like the decor. Best overnight stop in Porto.

On the plus side, the hotel is centrally located, has a gorgeous lobby, and the rooms are elegantly decorated. On the down side, there is no free internet, the rooms have poor sound proofing (I can hear my neighbour snoring), and the staff are somewhat arrogant.

I believe that at one time the Infante Sangres was a 5 star hotel, but not any longer. The location was good and easy to travel around Porto. The public areas were lovely but the rooms were average in size and dimly lit. The hairdyer was vintage 1960 attached to the wall with no power. If the bathroom had a... More

I am actually still at this hotel in the very center of Oporto within reasonable walking distance of most everything from the city's sites to the river and port wine houses beyond. The style of the old building is immediately apparent including the old elevator with its sofa inside (that tended to malfunction every now and then). Breakfast was nice... More

You see a lot of a hotel when a dodgy foot traps you indoors for four days. Almost all the staff in the restaurant and lobby area were charming and served me with grace and a smile. But on the first day, a request for a coffee was almost like a Carry-on movie, with the front desk calling someone, who... More

This is a wonderful old boutique hotel. Nice size rooms with very high ceilings, they have done a great job in renovating this building. The beds are extremely comfortable, the rooms are quiet, the bathroom is large and everything is kept very clean. They handed out the most delightful chocolates every night. If we had any complaints it would be... More

We had 4 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were offered port on check in which was a nice touch. The standard room we had was clean and comfortable and we had no complaints with it. The inside of the hotel is beautiful and the lift is fab. It is not like the soulless chain hotels you come... More

An amazing location, right in the heart of Porto. Very attentive staff. We were there over Easter, and were treated to a free classical concert, and to free port and Easter cake every day. The room was quite nice, quiet, with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was good, although rather basic. Unfortunately, the restaurant has closed--there's a new restaurant where... More

Hotel Infante Sagres looks very nice and luxurious at first sight, but you will soon realize that it is not worthy of 5*. It is a old establishment, with history, but in my opinion trying to cover up the old cracks by painting over it, just make it look cheap and not very clean. It is a good hotel with... More
