Positives? The one female at the desk was very friendly and the breakfast was good. Negatives? The elevator stopped unevenly on the 4th floor and no one seemed to care. Our room faced a ghetto. The bathroom was so small you could not turn around in it with the toilet at such an weird angle you could brush your teeth... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your time to write your positive comments and your criticism. The Philippos has no room facing any "ghetto" , only a few rooms looking in an alley with other terraces. Nonetheless the neighborhood of the Acropolis museum is one of the most beautiful in all Athens. We would have been able to give you better... More

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff on reception, minutes' walk to the Acropolis and other sites, easy to reach from the airport. Very clean rooms, and while they're a bit on the small side they're well-equipped and come with sizeable balconies. Would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone.

Great place to stay! Easy to get to and close to many attractions. Can easily get from Airport to Acropoli Metro station which is just a few minutes from the hotel. Rooms are small, however - just needed a clean, safe place to sleep. Room was very clean and I could catch a glimpse of the Parthenon from my balcony.... More

I have stayed at this fine establishment, own by the same family that owns the Hotel Herodion up the street in Athens. This is a bargin to say the least - wonderful lobby and bar area. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the roof top has a nice view of the Acropolis especially in the evening. The hotel is... More

My husband and I stayed here in March 2012 during the bail-out drama. We were truly looking for a place to sleep, keep our stuff and meet our tour guides. This hotel was nicely located just outside of any potential protest lines, but still within walking distance of the political centers. plus it was 2 minute walk to the New... More

The hotel is nicely located near the new acropolis museum , rooms are very good although when choosing your room the twin beds are a bit narrow , prefer 1 double bed if your are single or couple. Service is excellent and staff very helpfull. Would absolutely come back to this hotel . Great place to stay and quiet location,... More

The hotel is located just behind the Acropolis museum. Syntagma and Plaka were a short walk away and the metro station is under 10 mins walking. The location made it very easy for us to see all the major sites and the shopping districts. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom was of a decent size, with a tub!... More

Excellent modern style hotel, close to all attractions. New Acrpolis museum 500 metres, Acropolis Complex, 1000 metres, Acropoli Metro station 500 metres. Loads of local tavernas, and only a short walk to "plaki" where all the remaining restaurents and cafes reside. Room was modern, clean and everything worked, bathroom clean and well stocked. Breakfast was excellent, great choice and good... More

We stayed in this hotel during the week end of the Athens problems and you might as well have been in another City. This small hotel is tucked away in a little street situated in a great location for most of the attractions and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful, and although the rooms are on the small side... More
