I recently stayed for five days and four nights at the King George Palace. I put some detail in the below review but for a quick summary I would recommend this hotel as it was clean, centrally located, had wifi and a great view of the city. Location: Centrally located right down the street from the Plaka which are where... More

What I was expecting and what I actually experienced was quite different. As far as the room is concerned, the bed was uncomfortable, pillows even worse. I requested a change of pillows which when I got back to my hotel room after a business dinner late in the evening I did not find. Definitely does not service the business person.... More

Let me first mention the location - it doesn't get better for tourists. Views, and accessibility of transport and walking routes were great for all the main attractions. The staff at the King George Palace in Athens made us feel like royalty throughout our stay. From the driver of the car at the airport, the cleaning staff, and the reception staff... More

Upon an early morning arrival at the hotel from a cruise, we were warmly welcomed. Understandably our room wasn't ready at it was 9 am. Check in was a breeze and without asking we were given an upgrade to a Junior Suite, room 101, that looked out over Syntagma Square, Parliment, and an easy walk to the Plaka. From the... More

There is nothing I would change about this hotel. Everything about our stay was perfect. On arrival we were given a free room upgrade. We've been given 'upgrades' before at other hotels and were a bit suspicious about this, but we couldn't have asked for a better room. It was very spacious, very clean, and exquisitely furnished. The lights and... More

We had the good fortune to stay in the King George Palace in Athens for two nights. The room is delightful, the front office manager, Themis was extremely accommodating, showed us 3 rooms until we decided on the quietest. The rooms are very comfortable including free wifi. The housekeeping staff were here in less than 5 minutes to cater to... More

I travel extensively and can't stop thinking about this hotel. Everything was perfect...the building, rooms, location, dining, and staff. I can't think of one thing that I would change about the property. The views of the Acropolis, from the dining/breakfast room, are reason enough to choose this property. While the hotel and accommodations were spectacular, what made the stay phenomenal... More

Stayed here for a 4 day break with my husband. First the hotel: fantastic! They upgraded our room without us asking for it. Room is faultless, less view. As King George is in between Grand Bretagne and another hotel (sorry, names skips my mind), they obviously has less room capacity with great views. But this didn't hinder our stay at... More

My wife and I stayed here for a night en route to Santorini. Though our stay was brief we enjoyed the luxurious hotel and its friendly staff. Location-wise, we were within walking distance of every attraction. I did think the hotel was rather expensive, but I imagine the price has gone down given Greece's financial woes.
