I stayed here on the nights of the 2nd and 3rd May and again on 24th May 2012, en route to and from the island of Skopelos. All of the staff I spoke to were extremely pleasant and anxious to help me make the most of my brief stay in the Greek capital city. On both occasions my room was... More

The Art Hotel is a beautiful hotel in the center of Athens. Each room has it's own unique charm. The hotel is just a short taxi ride to Montestarki where you will find many shops and great restaurants. The hotel is charming with interesting art decorating each room as well as the lobby and dining area. I What we enjoyed... More

Agree wholly with other reviews, that the staff are great. Very gracious, friendly and helpful. However the praise stops there. Poor, noisy location, very seedy area. We had a room overlooking the busy intersection. Traffic roar and horns all night. Very difficult to ignore. Room quite small and in need of some urgent TLC. Double bed consisted of two singles... We stayed here only for an overnight en route to a cruise but because it was only a 4 euro taxi trip to the Acropolis and within walking distance to the main museum we found we were able to do and see exactly what we wanted even although it was such a short stay, Miranda and her staff made us... This hotel is more like good 3 star hotel, the biggest minus - a soundproofing, the biggest plus - a design of rooms. But if don't want to have bad impression about the city you should find the hotel near the Acropolis. Athens is very dangerous place for vocation... unfortunately

I'm going to agree with everyone who says the location is terrible. The surrounding streets stank of urine, cigarette ashes, and garbage. If you make the mistake of just keeping to the nearby area, you would be convinced that the whole city of Athens is just as dilapidated. However, the staff more than made up for the hotel's poor location... More

Lovely and clean rooms, excellewnt service and very helpfull staff. Located in a nice central area, 5 min. from the metro station and the National Archeological Museum. This neoclassical hotel is the place to be!

I used to stay once in Art hotel and I remember it was a nice place. The room was quite big and comfortable. The hotel has everything what should have a 4* hotel. However, the best was the service at the reception. I was touched seeing a receptionist doing her best to find some important imformation for my friend -... More

Smart choice for cheap vacation. Need to be careful walking around especially during the night. About the internal it is a beautiful renovated hotel. Poor breakfast. Good luck.
