Agree wholly with other reviews, that the staff are great. Very gracious, friendly and helpful. However the praise stops there. Poor, noisy location, very seedy area. This hotel is more like good 3 star hotel, the biggest minus - a soundproofing, the biggest plus - a design of rooms. But if don't want to have bad impression about the city you should find the hotel near the Acropolis. Athens is very dangerous place for vocation... unfortunately

I'm going to agree with everyone who says the location is terrible. The surrounding streets stank of urine, cigarette ashes, and garbage. If you make the mistake of just keeping to the nearby area, you would be convinced that the whole city of Athens is just as dilapidated. Lovely and clean rooms, excellewnt service and very helpfull staff. Located in a nice central area, 5 min. from the metro station and the National Archeological Museum. This neoclassical hotel is the place to be!

Smart choice for cheap vacation. Need to be careful walking around especially during the night. About the internal it is a beautiful renovated hotel. Poor breakfast. Good luck.
