My husband and I stayed in Room 104 and the only thing I could say in favour of the hotel is the view of the Acropolis in the evening, this is definitely not a 4 star hotel. The room was clean enough but that is all, the furniture, curtains etc. were so cheap and nasty, the en-suite had old pipes... More

Despite the recommendation of this hotel in Frommer's, I was extremely disappointed in both my room and the service. I would avoid this hotel! I had requested and booked a deluxe room room with two beds and a view of the Acropolis. Upon my arrival, I was told that they were overbooked and that I was going to have to... More

It was our second stay in this hotel. The room we had booked with the view on Acropoli - the room was wonderful, exquisite and comfortable, the view was impressive. Last time we liked the breakfast very much, but now (two years later) we were disappointed: if you come early (at the time the breakfast begins) half of the items... More

Yes, what previous reviewers have stated about room 301 at the Magna Grecia is all true. It is wedged in between the top floor restaurant and the restaurant’s bathroom and yes, the noise of merry diners on a Saturday night could keep you awake if you’re a light sleeper. But it’s such a cozy room and the view of the... More

Great room if you have no kids , stay up after midnight and get up before 5.30am. We booked a triple room whilst in Athens on a visit and were shown a great one but on the day of arrival we were given room 301. It is on the top floor with fantastic views and a huge balcony but it... More

Stayed at Magna Grecia from 19th to 23rd March for my husbands 60th birthday, we loved it! Perfect location, lovely staff and superb view, would definately stay there again, this hotel does not pretend to be anything other than what it is, cosy, clean and friendly

Location, location, location. Walk everywhere! Great roof/breakfast/nite view! Elevator yes. Good breakfast. Cozy and funky. Starbucks across the street. We're picky, but a little road noise for the view and location ... small price, we slept just fine. NOTE: if you have ANY interest in art and history, you must go to the National Archeological Museum. Especially if you only... More

I stay to this hotel few days ago. The location is very good but the hotel is not very nice! The biggest problem is the cleaning staff!! From 7.00 am until 15.00 pm make voice and you can't sleep, is unbelievable!! I go to many hotels every year, first time I see that... Also the breakfast is poor!

It is a very beautiful Hotel in the center of Athens. The room was very clean and the breakfast very tasty. Also we had a great view to the Acropolis from the roof top of the Hotel.

No-one to blame but myself, I booked in a hurry for a one night trip to the city and made the classical error of looking at the website and not the reviews. Never has a hotel been better mis-represented! The best disguised front door in Athens, the mandatory boutique touches of purple and red and acres of blinding white in... More
