We booked this hotel online for a standard room. It is walking distance from the train station and is located in a perfect area for sightseeing. The desk clerk, Eden, who checked us in couldn't have been any nicer and pleasant. She asked if we wanted to upgrade our room (we hadn't seen our room as yet) and I immediately... More

This hotel was in a fantastic location for seeing Copenhagen. Upon arrival we were told that we would have to be upgraded to their deluxe room, darn :). The room was HUGE and even though it was a smoking room we were not bothered at all by any neighbor smoke that might have been present. The staff was very helpful... More

I'm glad I picked the Hotel Alexandra for my first stay in Copenhagen. I mainly picked it due to price--I got a spectacular deal by paying in advance on their website--but the "design museum" aspect also intrigued me. I ended up with a wonderful room featuring designs by Verner Panton, with one of the most comfortable beds and most functional... More

Five points as to why the hotel deserves the five 'Excellent' rating I have given it: 1. Location. Literally three minutes walk from central station and very easy to find. (This coming from someone with an awful sense of direction). 2. Staff. Super friendly, incredibly helpful and efficient. Every one of them - whether it be with regards to difficulty... More

The good: The location is perfect in the city center, within walking of the train station. Also, to our surprise the wifi is extremely fast. The design of the lobby is also uniquely Danish. Room 451 is rather large. The staff is very friendly and bikes are available for rent. The bad: We stayed in room 451, a classic Danish... More

Thank you for your feedback. I am very sorry to read you were unhappy with the stay. I've just gone through the room and I agree upon, that the old vintage bed, designed by Nanna Ditzel must be tightened. The chairs are original Nanna Ditzel chairs from the 60th, but with new upholstery. The desk chair was designed by Borge... More

It was my first time in Copenhagen and I'm so glad I picked Hotel Alexandra. It was central to the tourist mainstays and a short walk from the train station and tourist information. Too bad Tivoli was opening up the week after we left! I shared the room with a friend and our beds were about twin size (a bit... More

We stayed 4 nights in April '12. Copenhagen was so kind to us, and this hotel was the icing on the cake. Just fancy enough for my taste. Quiet, classy and convenient. The beds were very comfy. The shower was a bit unwieldy, but I felt that way about everywhere we stayed on this trip... So maybe it's just me.... More

I have to say the pictures of the hotel we saw are of only a handful of the actual rooms in the hotel, so it was a little disappointing that our room was as small and not as lavishly furnished as we thought. that aside, the staff here were excellent and a real asset to the future success. all the... Stayed at the Alexandra Hotel in downtown Copenhagen on April 5th for one night. This hotel is in a great location, 2 blocks from the central train station (which is also a 15 minute train ride from the airport). So needless to say, getting to and from the airport is a breeze. The hotel is right next to city hall... More

We stayed here in April 2011 for 2 nights and we quite enjoyed it, especially the breakfast. The location is as good as you are going to get in Copenhagen if you are on foot, it was very quick and easy to get to from the airport (train and then some walking using our phone's GPS system to guide us)...
