A hotel in a boat is off course cool and you gotta like it. I don´t mind small rooms, I usually travel on a budget and I don´t expect much. But this was super small! Otherwise sleep quality was good. Service was very friendly and the girls at the reception talked fluent english. Breakfast was not that good, just bread,... More

This hostel was filled with travelling early 20-somethings. I stayed in a room with several others as it was the cheapest option at the time. Unfortunately I got the worst bed bug infestation as a result that took months to get rid of!! It's best to avoid this place as you will likely come home with more little friends.

We stayed there during summer 2011. Great location - very close to city centre. Great atmosphere - being on a boat beats your average hotel stay. Rooms are very small and basic, as one would expect on a boat, but you don't come to Stockholm to stay in your hotel room all day - you just need a comfy bed,... More

I stayed here during a trip to Sweden in April 2011. There was a great ambiance about the place. The boat has a Scandinavian feel, and the hostel/ hotel is run on two boats parked next to each other. The main boat has a dorm (with a narrow staircase leading to it) and there are lovely views on the water,... More

We had a small, but nice cabin with a shared bathroom. The shared bathroom was ok, but only cleaned once every day. The bed was ok, but not that wide. You can hear everything that is said in the corridor and I guess they could hear us, too. The best thing about Rygerfjod is the location and staying on a boat.... More

This hostel also has a couple of rooms with private bathroom, labelled hotel. I stayed in the captains cabin which was great value for the price.

We picked this location because you can see the Stockholm skyline from your room and it is within walking distance of those places we wanted to visit. We choose the Mates Cabin which had adequate room for relaxing and our luggage.

First of all it is a boat so the hotel cabins are rather small and basic. The trade off for luxury is character and location. It's quirky and quaint and very friendly, I would have no hesitation in recommending it for short stays when all you really want is a comfortable place to sleep and snack at a good rate.... More

We stayed here in August 2010 after looking at the prices of other accomodations in the city. Not only was the price fair (though certainly not cheap, but considering the strength of the SEK a good price), we found the location ideal for all the touristy things we had planned to do. The cabin was clean and large, at the... More

A nice stay if you like something a bit out of the ordinary. Be prepared that you can't turn in the cabin once you managed to get your luggage in, bathroom is a "all in one" (you shower over the sink and toilet) - but the view in the morning is amazing!!! A tiny problem is that there are no... More
