During lately I have visited Oulu a couple of times. This time I decided to test Scandic and I was very satisfied. Good location in city centre, just next to a large cinema. It's modern and the rooms are okay. Overall the hotel is okay. We had an early breakfast and it was not the best I've had but for that time in the morning it was okay as well. The gym is well equipped compared to most hotels.

Central location. Very nice hotel. Lobby cosy and spacious. Nice rooms. Breakfast excellent with a variety of choices. Car parking in a parking hall, not free though. I would recommend this hotel. I have stayed there several times and would stay there again.

The hotel is in the middle of the town next to a pedestrian area. The rooms were spacious and clean the personnel quite friendly with no problems in communicating in English. Restaurant an d bar was quite good. I liked that there was were restaurants and bars right in the neighborhood of the hotel.

If you are visiting Oulu to enjoy the market area, theatre (as me and my wife did) or downtown restaurants, Scandic is a good choice in a perfect location.
