Everything and everyone in this hotel seemed to go out of their way to ensure that both the hotel and city experience would be maximized. Suggestions about places to have dinner or modes of transportation were customized and there was a sense of pride in the job they each performed The breakfast ran the gamut, with possibilities for whatever your... At first, the location of this hotel is really great. And we got really cheap offer for one night from the travel agency. But the hotel was even not the average. The rooms are small (it's ok) and have blue sky and clound on they'r ceilings. But my room had really ugly large stains on the ceiling. TV was not... More

This hotel is located in a very central place in Helsinki with excellent connections by public transport. It is amazing how worn out dirty everything in the hotel is. Rooms have been redecorated some years ago, the staff told me, but walls are dirty with markings and bathrooms are old with black mold -looking stuff between tiles, empty screw-holes in... More

For those who travel to the UK from Australasia and want a change, do try flying through Helsinki, one way or the other. The Hotel Cumulus Kaisaniemi is right in the centre of Helsinki with most of the recognised sights within a 20 minute walk. The hotel is similar to the Formule 1 model with a more than adequate room... More

The hotel has pretty much perfect location in Helsinki. It's as central as it could be with railway station nearby, trams/buses/metro all stop right next to it and night life/shopping possibilities spread around it. It's not too expensive, but depending on how you look at it it might not be exactly worth the money either. The rooms are sized and... More

I've stayed at the hotel during weekend trip to Helsinki, and I've had a decent time with it's comfy rooms (they may seem quite small, but there've been enough place for me either to work with laptop or rest). Nice variety of meals served at buffet breakfast in a cozy restaurant, and after that you have to make only 5-10... More

Stayed one night. Decent hotel with basic and functional amenities. It's location is quite good being close to the main train station.

My room is adequate, but for 163 euros per night, I had expected something much better than just adequate. The room is small but not tiny, with a double bed, armchair and lamp, and a small desk with chair and desklamp. The furnishings and fixtures are of good quality but mid-range Ikea in aesthetic. There is a small closet, and... More

I attended a 4 day conference up at the Helsinki Convention Center and was in need of a decent hotel located close to the railway station. The Cumulus Kaisaniemi definitely fit the bill. It was an easy 5 walk from the railway station and very close walking distance to the Esplanade, waterfront market and Lutheran Cathedral. Several trams also stop... More

We booked this hotel through an ebay auction of a voucher entitling us to a 2 night's b & b at any time during the following 12 months. It was great value. The hotel is a bit shabby but the staff are good and the location great. It is within a 200 m of the railway station on a principle... More
