This hotel was the last place we visited on our way back. The check-in was really something different, we were treated like old friends! The guy on the front desk was so kind and welcoming. The hotel is cozy small with personalized rooms. Quite small rooms but suitable for a short stay. The personnel is excellent in service and attitude. The restaurant is serving a variety of interesting, tasty and beautiful portions and the wine expertise is very good. An oddity for the area. Definitely the place to stay and dine in Jyvaskyla.

I really can't add much to what other recent reviews have said. Hotel Yopuu is excellent. I totally agree that it is very hard finding any sort of individual hotel in Finland. We struggled to find a "non standardized" hotel in Finland. Apparently, most hotels are either big chains or otherwise "standardized". But Yopuu is different!! One of the best hotels (out of a couple of dozen) we've visited in Finland. Every room is different, decorated with style and theme. Some rooms are quite small. This hotel is not cheap but worth of visit.
