Things got a little difficult when we had to book 4 rooms in a hotel in Reykjavik and we ended up in this hotel - booking rooms as well as 1 of their apartment. I stayed in the apartment. It actually looks how it is advertised in the website. Yet there are a bunch of issues, some rather minor like... More

The hotel is cute and cozy! The room and bathroom were tight, but fit our needs just fine. The armoire saved us from having our luggage and clothes everywhere taking up space. The morning girl receptionist was my favorite! She was so friendly and helpful and answered my hundreds of questions. The location is ideal!! We walked everywhere! You can... More

We stayed here in March for a week and chose it over another place due to the deal we got on a Junior Suite. After reading the reviews we thought we would need the extra space, and it was well worth it. We still didn't have tons of space but having a separate lounge (which was upstairs, very cool!) really... More

We stayed in room 105 and let me tell you, it was loud pretty much 24/7. We could hear everything....Everything!! If you are a light sleeper, this is not the hotel for you, at the least the first floor. I'm sure the top floor is much better. The staff was pretty cheerful and willing to assist us with everything. We... More

I stayed here in April 2011 and found the hotel to be perfect for what I was looking for which was a base from which to explore Iceland’s Natural Wonders as well as Reykjavik, go whale watching and have something to do of an evening within easy reach. The hotel was perfectly located in the centre just off the main... More

My husband and I stayed there in August, 2011 based on recommendation from friends. The hotel room was smallish, but had everything we needed. Windows on the second floor opened and we had a view of the downtown and harbor, The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very generous, but if there are hiking groups at... We choose the Odinsve because of the location and the value for money - and I was not disappointed. The staff were all very polite and always keen to help. Breakfast was continental and self service with a good range to choose from and on the healthy side. The bread was still warm at 0700 and wholewheat walnut bread is... More

We stayed at the Óðinsvé for 3 nights in April and loved it. The hotel is in a great location and nicely quiet at night. Navigating the surrounding streets with satnav was easy, and we easily found on-street parking every night so avoiding the steep charges in the car park opposite the hotel. We stayed in room 103 which was... More

Fine rooms and a really good restaurant, good value in a fairly expensive place. Car parking at night no problem, but be prepared to pay first thing in the morning. No dedicated hotel parking. Very helpful staff and nice location.

Would defintely recommend this hotel, the location was great and the reception staff were fantastic. Couple of things to mention although defintely not a massive problem. Due to the Volcanic nature of Iceland the shower water has a slight eggy smell to it and you do here a few creeks at night but like a say not massive problems. We... More
