Very nice place to sleep in during a stay in Reykjavík. The room we stayed in was big with great beds. The service excellent. We'll stay there again for sure.
I booked a room here, thankfully for only one night. The reviews seemed ok and at short notice it seemed to be an ok price, although by booking ahead of time I had gotten some way better deals on nicer places in Reykjavik.
I booked the room with a kitchenette so that we could make our own food.

Firstly, the only down side is that this hotel is quite a walk from the town centre (about 25 minutes, do-able but a bit of an effort after a day's activities); though easily accessible by bus or taxi.
The room we were sharing (myself, partner and daughter) was very spacious and bright. Loved that it not only had the usual...

For our Icelandic adventure, we decided on a fly-and-drive package. We chose hotels in the "decent but still affordable" option. The Hotel Vik Arctic Comfort looked on the map like it was fairly close to downtown Reykjavik. It turned out to be quite a walk to get to the city center. The Arctic Comfort Hotel in Reykjavik is quite nice for a three star hotel, the rooms have shower, toilet, tv, wireless internet. It's clean and quiet and not very far from Reykjavik so it's possible to take a walk down town from the hotel.
Internet worked fine and there were some international chanels on tv.
The big downside is that...

Pro:Quite, spacious room, free wifi Con: Old decoration, far from city centre,
Rooms are rather small, shaby and very dusty. Housekeeping was terrible!!! We stayed there 3 nights and during the period nobody changed neither bed linen, nor the towels - even the ones that laid on the floor! Dust laid everywhere - it seemed, that nobody has cleaned the wardrobes for a couple of months. There was a couple of teabags...

I stayed here for 3 nights with my teenage son. We used this hotel as a base for some day trips to the volcanos and glaciers. The room are neat and very clean - fresh spring water drinkable direct from the tap! We found a sports bar just around the corner showing live Champions League football. There was a choice...
