I had a special offer price so 2 nights here was lovely, but I think it's quite expensive on a normal price. I asked for high floor and had a fab room looking towards the sea. the open-planned bathroom was very nice, all mirrors and glass everywhere! you can actually wash your hair whilst admiring the view...and there are net... We stayed in Reykjavik for 2 nights, which was just enough time as there isn't too much to do in the city. Nevertheless, you can take many excursions from the city centre so you won't run out of things to do. Hotel 101 was a perfect base for us, as it's extremely close to all the restaurants and bars. It's... More

Location was good....near stores but not too close to all the touristy bars. It does have rooms overlooking a bar, so you could be impacting by early-morning revelers leaving the bars. We had a room facing the inner courtyard/ so it was very quiet for us. Staff were helpful and sociable/friendly, but really as you would expect to be at... More

101 Hotel was a cool place to stay. Even the all dark purple hallways were unexpected, and somehow soothing after that overnight flight. The staff were helpful, even pointing our group to off-the-beaten path attractions in the Golden Circle area. Be sure to visit the small spa in the basement, just the thing after a day of sightseeing. I always... More

Overall the 101 was quite satisfying. We were a group of 6 who stayed for 4 nights and had 3 rooms, 2 on the 4th floor and 1 on the 5th. 2 of them were overlooking the port and the other one had a vue on the "white wall" despite the request made at booking. needless to say that this... More

We stayed for 4 nights here and couldn't have picked a better location. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. If I had any complaint at all about the room it would be no tea or coffee making facilities. We were on the 4th floor and had a great view across the road to the harbour. All the shops... More

We spent 6 days in the 101 Hotel just after the New Year. Junior Suite, on the 3rd floor - so quiet enough for all nights apart from Saturday. However the judicious purchasing of earplugs ensured a relatively peaceful night - although the baying of the street wolves at 5 am was quite exciting. The room was chic, comfortable and... More

The details of the 101 Hotel are great. The rooms are sizable if not huge. The food and bar are modern and interesting but still comfortable. But it is the location that really makes it perfect for a nice long weekend.

This hotel has everything you would need - including great people watching in the lobby on the weekends during the evenings. THe front desk staff are helpful and the rooms are big enough. We did not find it to be noisy the way that other reviews did. You can walk everywhere in Reykjavik from the Hotel, including the perfect cafe... More

We spent 28-31 December 2011 here and doubt we could have made a better choice. As first-time visitors to Reykjavik (and Iceland), the central location (central to the old town, that is) of the hotel made it unnecessary to have any transportation of our own. Everything we wanted to see downtown was within walking distance. The Gray Line tours terminal... More
