The service at Hotel Hilda is outstanding. The staff are fluent in English and friendly. It is only a quick walk to museums and sights of the city. Clean room with a small shower. We were even offered a packed breakfast since our bus left early for the airport. I will certainly stay here again when I am next in... More

We enjoyed our stay here. Nice room, good and warm, nice shower (no bath). When we got back at 0045 one night, the concierge made us hot chocolate. That was our only quibble, that there was no kettle in the room. 10 minute walk to the bus station where the tours go from, and there's a shop just around the... More

We stayed in Hotel Hilda for our three night stay in Reykjavik. We came in late our first night (1am) but the staff were up and showed up to our room (12). It was a decent size with ensuite. The hotel is a 5 minute (if that) walk from town and therefore in a great locaiton. The breakfast included is... More

Decent guesthouse in a good location in Reykjavik. It's on a quiet street just a five minute walk down into the centre of town. The room was tidy and functional .Only a couple of niggles. We were shown straight to our room without any explanation regarding breakfast times or the free WiFi and our TV didn't work which we reported... More

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and it was an absolute pleasure. The hotel itself was very nice - it was clean, tidy, UK TV and had free wi-fi. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot! The breakfast in the morning was great with fresh coffee and a good selection of food available. The... More

We had a wonderful two night stay at this hotel. It was quiet except for people coming back late and night. Our room was subterranean, and on the street, so we also got the sound of people coming back form a night out on the town, but considering we were there on a festival weekend, it was really very good.... This hotel was perfect for us - great value for money with very comfortable beds and an amazing breakfast laid out each morning of breads, cheeses, meats, eggs, cereal, yogurt, fruit - it was delicious. The hotel is just a short walk from the centre but it's on a quiet street so you will not get disturbed by any of... More

This is a wonderful small hotel on a quiet residential street in short walking distance (less than 5 minutes) to the center of Reykjavik. Excellent value in a superb location. Clean nicely decorated room. Hotel provides a simple but lovely breakfast ..breads, cereals, yogurt, cheese and meats...in a small room on the ground floor. Very small in-room bathroom was basically... More

For someone who wants to be close to the center but away from all the club/traffic noise, this is one of the best choices in Reykjavik. Close walking distance to Lagavegur but in a very quiet residential neighborhood. The staff is great and the rooms are nice; considering the price, it won't be easy to get a better deal for... More

This hotel has a great location, great value for money, very kind, helpful (and nice looking) staff. It's a few minutes walk from everything you might need in Reykjavik: harbour, bars, museums, the Harpa, restaurants. And breakfast was really good: served downstairs, with coffee, cheese and ham, eggs, and all sorts of breads and yogurt. The rooms are a bit... More
