I come to Faroe from time to time, and love being at the Hafnia. Well located, reasonably priced, comfortable and very friendly, a traveller can ask for little more, I would think. The rooms are small, and the property is not Thorshavn's newest, but for me, these shortcomings are more than compensated for by the atmosphere.

Central location in Tórshavn, very close to the harbour and main shopping centre. Convenient for shuttle bus to the airport. Room was a bit small. Restaurant good but expensive.

This is my third visit to the Hafnia, and it is a very comfortable property to return to. Its demeanour is slightly old-fashioned, but this is perfectly within the ambience of the Faroe Islands, and is really rather charming. A topend hotel. A bit 1950like, Bathrooms could need a make ove r(and being larger). the location is more central than you can imagine: harbour ( the remaining ferries to Suðuroy, Nólsoy, Denmark and Iceland), old administration center (Tinganes - prime tourist target), main shopping street etc. are all max. 50-100 m away. Basic hotel, free wifi, good breakfast. The hotel was nothing out of the ordinary but rather a old hotel.

This is a very nice hotel, an old building with a panorama terraces on the roof. The rooms are small with old TVs hanging off the corners with horrible picture but then you did not come to the Faroes to watch TV, right? :) Teapot, tasty tap water (no calcium, by the way, AT ALL), single beds with single blanket... Would stay again - good location, great staff, great food, clean. Room old fashioned, but that's nice. Free wifi too. Nice enough, no complaints!

The Hotel is fantastic, next to the port, breakfast is great and reception always helpful! Highly recommended!

I was at the Hafnia with my 21 year old son for ólavsøku this summer. The service from Thomas and Lilia at the front desk was superb.
