The setting is lovely, the area is wonderful, but there is something very strange about the family that runs it. There were no other guests, we were overcharged for everything, and my I Pad was taken from our room. The reaction reflected the general dynamics of the family-denial and high drama. This is a shame because it really could be... More

It's very hard to understand some of the previous reviews on here. Maybe the management have really turned it around, because our stay was excellent. We arrived and were greeted well, and offered a drink ("Large beer please") in a lovely shady and flower-filled courtyard. We were shown to our room (called Kallisto I believe) which was spacious, well-equipped and... More

This is a good place to stay if you can't find accommodation in latchi or polis, or if you consider accommodation in those places overpriced. The place is clean and well kept and rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. This is agro-tourism so don't expect too many luxuries but the place does have a swimming pool and even offers dinner... We booked this place online for two nights, and when we arrived we found the atmosphere really unpleasant. There were several reasons, and so even though we have a small baby and it was 7pm we risked leaving to find somewhere else to stay. We had to pay for both nights, but it we felt it was worth it. Very dirty rooms and pool. We told them about how dorty it was but the staff was so arrogant and the answer was that we are very pretentious. Disguasting toilets and bathroom. Inside the pool we could find bees, plastc glasses and other things every morning.

In the past well- we have been there 2006, 2008 and 2010 - now on june 4th 2012 absolute desaster. Obviously long ago pree-cooked food, not fresh any more. Improper location, unkempt staff. Despite complaining about the food, we had to pay full price. Any apologice from the waitress. Never again!!!

I am a fan of the Akamas/Polis area and stayed to several agrotourism hotels, never in this small but beautiful village before. We stayed in Amarakos for 2 nights (75e per night for a double bedroom, breakfast excluded). The location is good and the beds comfortable. The owner welcomed us warmly and we thought that this was some kind of... More

With 3 words: DIRTY – DISGUSTING – AWFUL SERVICE (NO SERVICE AT ALL) We decided to book in Amarakos Inn, Arkoudalia, Paphos, Cyprus for alternative summer holidays. It is placed on the top of the mountain and from all we could see by its webpage (if you can call it webpage) and by CTO books it looked traditional, exactly what... More

Having read some of the reviews here I was rather worried about our booked two night stay. Amarakos is not 5 star luxury, but it never puports to be that. It is, however, genuine Cypriot hospitality in a rustic farmhouse. It is situated in a tiny village and is extremely quiet and peaceful. The rooms mainly surround a courtyard where... More
