I think another reviewer said this hotel reminded them of their grandmothers house. Thats probably the best way to describe this place. Location can't be beat and the restaurant is pretty good too. Just recently, I spent three nights there. It is like traveling back in time. All wood, old, wool, great food, wonderful people, a world-class location with the best view possible. Would go back there anytime. Hallstatt is a jewel in Austria, a must-see place.

There is nothing fancy here, so if you are high-maintenance in the hotel department, I don't think you'll be pleased.
