We spent 2 nights in Salzburg and found the Hohenstauffen Hotel delightful. The staff was overly friendly and very helpful in giving us tips on seeing Salzburg. It is located in a quiet area just a 5 minute walk from the train station and about 20 minutes from the Old Town. The walk to the Old Town is along the... More

This is very good value for money. The rooms are very clean and quite big, each room looks different, maybe a little dated, but with lots of real character. The hotel is very close to the main station - to the city centre it's 25 minutes' walk along the river. All the staff is very friendly, unobtrusive but extremely helpful... More

The hotel is near to the main station - dont follow the instructions on google which will bring you on a long walk by the main streets. You could cut across the bus station, and will be able to reach the hotel in approximately 5 mins without luggage. The staff is very friendly, advising us on where to go and... More

Very easy walk from the hbf station. Very friendly and helpful staff advising us of where to go and how to walk to the old part of Salzburg. Rooms clean, the whole hotel had lots of character. They even stored our luggage for us all day free of charge even though we were only spending one night with them -... More

Like what has been reviewed, we decided to give a try and booked an apartment room next to the main block and it was a walk-up 3-storey unit. Rooms are great, with plenty of space and power outlets to use. The lady was extremely friendly and helpful with the local transportation maps. She offered us money-saving tips on transport services,... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and the welcome we received was the best ever. It was so warm and welcoming. We were given lots of information regarding the city, maps, public transport - which no buses went to where as well as sites to see prior to the crowds arriving on the w/e. Can't complain about... The first thing I noticed about the hotel (after the huge gleaming signboard) was the ancient HUGE wheeled cycle at the entrance. The hotel is peppered with weird and wonderful objects including a wooden tricycle that doubles as a flowerpot and a coin-song machine in the tea room. Four poster bed with a canopy, bathtub in the bathroom, warm blankets.... More

We spent 3 nights. Room was spacious and clean. No AC but the night was cool enough. The breakfasts were fresh and divine! Upon asking where we could rent bikes, they actually have them there, including ebikes which we rented for 4-5 hours. Best town for biking!!!! Great hotel and very friendly owners. Don't miss happy hour! They were helpful... More

My room 315 is in green and rosy style. I wish I had booked ALL week here in this hotel in Salzburg not in Munich. The service is VERY friendly as it is the family hotel. The landlady is very helpful. Next time in Salzburg I WILL come back to this hotel. Anyway it is awesome here. More
