I never in my life thought that I would spend time living in an actual 500-year old castle, but I did. The Gourmethotel Deuring Schlossle is full of history and character. The food was magnificent, and the service was impeccable. A true old-world European experience!

An enchanting castle hotel which used to be part of the Relais and Chateaux chain, but opted out in order to avoid their rigid rules. Husband and wife team with the chef as husband and the wife as sommelier. This is the only authentic hotel in the area located within the old medieval city.
