Stayed there in 2012. Inside it looks nicely decorated and neat, the old building has roomy hallways and the main stairs is impressive "Old Vienna". There is an elevator too. The room was big, with high ceilings, but sort of spartan, with a simple but functional furniture and small TV. The cleanliness of the room and the bathroom was first... More

What was right with this so-called 4 star hotel? Better ask What was wrong with it? Apart from its location at the 'unfashionable', run-down end of Mariahilfestrasse past the Gurtel, a backpacker area with cheap internet shops and takeaways, it does not live up to the 4 star rating it claims to have for the following reasons: It has no... The hotel is situated on a busy shopping street and 2 minutes walk from the metro....then 5 stops take you to the heart of Vienna....The rooms were absolutely basic with no minibar or any fancy stuff (a bit hot and with a window looking at the internal garden) and there is no wifi reception except in the lobby.....the breakfast is... This hotel is conveniently located on Mariahilferstrasse, the shopping street of Vienna. And it is very close to the Westbanhoff train station and has a tram just outside that takes you straight to Schönbrun palace and the zoo in 10 minutes! The rooms are basic, but very clean and neat. The single bed however was not so comfortable for me... More

I LOVED my stay. We had a beautiful "Comfort Double Room" - spacious and grand. Fantastic location a short walk from the Underground 3 line, and near nice cafes and restaurants. We were also fortunate enough to be able to have secure parking in the hotel's locked yard. Free wi-fi was available in the comfortable lobby on the ground floor.... More

Hotel was nice for a march visit. They don't have an a/c unit so if you go during hot season, be warned. Since we went just at the beginning of spring, having the windows open was good enough - no a/c needed. One problem I had was when you went to sleep, you can hear the electricity from the wiring... Somewhere this place was listed as 4 star. It is not. It is 2 star at best. It's not bad, if you just want something basic, go for it. But internet is only available in the 'lobby', and the old town is not in realistic walking distance. I'd assume you could do better quite easily, but you could also do... More

We stayed here for the Christmas markets, which the location of this hotel was great for. It's also a hop and a skip from where the airport shuttle coach drops you off. But... basic is really the word. One standard european bed in the middle of a ridiculously large room which ended up feeling a little spooky so I'm glad... More
