Skuteviken guesthouse is located in a residential area of Bergen, metres from the coast and a pleasant 5 minute stroll to the city centre. The room we stayed in was spacious with a large bathroom (with heated floor), good sized living area and well-equipped kitchen area. On arrival we were met by Solveig who made us feel very welcome and... More

We spent 3 nights here in early June in a cute studio on the first floor. The place was fairly easy to find, especially if you pay attention to the owners directions on the website. The owners were present when we turned up c. 3pm, and spent some time showing us how to get to town, the names of a... More

Just a bus stop away near the fish market and tourist center in Bergen is this quaint shabby chic family owned Bed and Breakfast. It is not too difficult to find as we first thought it was going to be since it was raining and we were getting confused with the public transpo. It is even a decent walk from... More

We enjoyed staying in this very cosy well positioned guesthouse, the owners are very accommodating and the setting is beautiful. It was great to be able to cook dinner in the room in a country where eating out can be expensive(and disappointing).

My partner and I had a great time here for 2 nights in May. We were greeted on our arrival by the very friendly, chatty and helpful staff who shared with us plenty of information about the town as well as swapping a few stories about his time in Aus. We were then showed to our room which was just... More

My husband and I stayed at the Skuteviken Guesthouse for a few days in January 2013 and would highly recommend it. We had read about it first in Lonely Planet and then I checked out the reviews on Trip Advisor. We arrived in the evening and took a cab to the guesthouse. The cab driver wasn't familiar with the street... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Solveig Rongved's guesthouse. I stayed in the single room downstairs with a well-equipped little kitchenette (though I only used it for coffee brewing). The dcoration is somewaht quirky with lots of local Norwegian items. The location is fantastic, near the Bergenhus park (Bergenhus festning) with a convenient shortcut to the old Bryggen wharf. The... More

We stayed here for one night before our trip on the hurtigruten. The taxi from the airport had a little trouble finding it, so have directions ready. It cost 500kr. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The house itself is in a delightful area full of little wooden houses..beautiful..the rooms are decorated with art from around the world and you... More

Wonderful waking up in an old wooden house surrounded by other wooden houses so felt like experiencing the heart of the Bergen. Very warm and cosy, reasonable size good sitting area and modern bathroom. The kitchenette invaluable given the cost of eating out, 2 modern electric rings and kettle with all the equipment we needed, the cost of the apartment... More
