On arrival the hotel reception and bar area looks great , quite modern and funky.
But the rooms are tiny and claustropobic, the toilet cubicle is so tiny, very awkward bath and shower area to get in and out of ( and im not a fatty!)
Dull decor, shabby corridoors
Only one lift
Very noisy as the hotel is siutated...

Stayed 3 nights this week with my wife.Staff very friendly and welcoming.Beds marvellously comfortable-memory foam! Breakfast not wonderful for the money but OK. Guests should not have to pay £7 per night to park on hotel car park-especially when not mentioned at time of booking.

£7 to park in the hotel car park, no free wifi and uninspiring rooms with a view of a car park and a flat roof. One of the poorest of the many Novotels I have stayed at but fortunately I am only staying one night!

Very comfortable hotel and close to the town centre, the bus station or Ipswich fc (5 minute walk to all). I really do not understand why quality hotel chains add charges for parking and wifi. The Novotel is for the price range a very basic experience, the rooms are nothing special and have no wifi unless you subscribe separately for a price. The food was quite good and varied, essentially this hotel can be visibly seen as a re-furb over a 70s structure but that said for a short stay not bad.
