I booked on laterooms and called en route on the Sunday I was staying to le them know, out of courtesy, that I was going to be arriving late. The response of complete shock was followed by a statement that they normally go to bed at 9pm and he'd have to stay up. I arrived at 11 to a locked... More

My husband. And I stayed here over Easter ! From the moment I booked this charming ever so warm bed and breakfast I knew how we would be treated. Treated we were to their home made delicious cherry jam and marmalade, and freshly laid eggs. Jackie the proprietor also bakes her own bread. There are hostels calling them selves bed... More

Really easy to find, just down the road from the main services off the a14/a12 junction. large room with really large bathroom, bed was comfy and room was warm despite being frosty outside. Please ignore the reviews that complain of the road noise, during the day you can just about hear traffic but from about 18:00 it barely registers and... More

What a great place to stay, clean & tidy, plenty of room, big shower and toilet room, tea, coffee, big tv and the breakfast was excellent. But the most important was the nice welcome we received, not too over formal and very helpful and when we found that my Wife had left her shoes under the bed, they went out... More

This place seems to have a mixture of reviews and having stayed at Hungercut Hall recently, I would like to highlight some issues I had with my stay. Firstly on its location, I would advise any prospective customer to simply type in the post-code, IP6 8NX into google map and you can see for yourself just how close this B&B... More

This is the second review from the same couple for the same stay from several months ago, and it is just as factually incorrect as the first. They say that our reviews are mixed - they are in so far as all of our other reviewers have rated Hungercut Hall as being Excellent or Very Good, and they haven‘t. This... More

Lovely room and great breakfast. A really interesting place and a nice landlady. The main road wasn't far away but you couldn't see it and you could only just about here it inside. Slept really well which was just what i needed.

We recently stayed at Hungercut Hall to have a peaceful, romantic weekend away from the kids. It was lovely! Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the staff were so friendly! Gorgeous antique furniture, good modern facilities and a warm cosy atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent. What a gem of a place- we can't wait to go back!!

We went there for a wedding in the neighbourhood. very easy to find. As londoners we were looking forward some peace an quite, a good night in the countryside. As soon as we got off the car, our face dropped... This house is literally next door to the highway. It is constant road noise. the garden was nice (nothing extraordinary).... More

This review is factually incorrect. I would ask you to try and appreciate that for small businesses in particular, the effect of malicious defamation is devastating. We have fewer reviews generally on our listing than big hotels, and it takes only 10 minutes to decimate such a small business - and to cause untold distress to us, the owners. More

From the welcome of the exceptionally friendly and courteous hosts to the comfort and cleanliness of the room and the extraordinary quality of the breakfast, this fabulous B & B cannot be faulted. It is a real hidden gem in Suffolk and so convenient for Ipswich, Mid-Suffolk and the beautiful Suffolk coast. I would recommend Hungercut Hall to anyone and... More

The interior is not just warm and clean, but is is also very beautiful. I love looking at wooden beams, floors and ceiling, and there is plenty of that at Hungercut Hall. Jacqui, John and their slightly nervous dog were also very welcoming hosts who did everything to make our stay there just perfect. There are lots of beautiful place... More
