I have just come back from the perfect hen weekend, 14 of us stayed at this hotel (age range -30/65) couldn't fault it. Price, food, the gardens, cleanliness. Staff attitude and service received. All age ranges catered for from kiddies to retired. Spot on, will be returning with my husband and kids. Spot on :)

If you have reached Skegness ( which would be a good place with young kids but not really otherwise) then this is one of the good hotels. Victorian style old hotel with friendly staff . The lounge area is really nice with big comfortable sofas and they have an entertainment scheduled r every night. Wooden dance floor with live singing... More

We stayed at the Royal Hotel in a family room for one night in April 2012. I was little bit terrified after reading the not so good reviews of the hotel, but all in all, it turned out to be nicer than I thought. There is a certain Agatha Christie -feel in the hotel, sort of 20's feel. The lobby... More

On arrival the hotel looks quite grand, the reception is quite imposing. The rooms are in need of some investment and by my third night it was probably one night too long. There was not enough tea, coffee, milk/cream provided for the in-room refreshments and the bathroom had mould on the ceiling. The only criticism about the food in the... More

Hotel is big and grand, very clean and well kept. The rooms are fair and if you manage to get a sea view its great. The staff seem a little withdrawn. Although they are polite they didn't seem to want to help much like when we had lots of bags ect. When we decided to stay a second night we... More

Ive always got happy memories of Skegness, it was where we went on holiday as a family with my Mum and Dad. The place we could never afford, was the Seacroft Hotel (now The Royal), so now 40 odd years later, I can afford it, so we went and spent the weekend there. We had a lovely time, the hotel... More

Arrived for a satuday night stay b@b, what an exclellent place, they are spending alot of money, refurb etc, the staff, the food, the rooms, all very nice, warm and comforfable, the bufett style breakfast is too much, made an effort to moderate intake, The car parking is good, this is an ideal venue for weddings, barmitzvas, etc. Will be... The hotels website does not do it justice. The hotel is modern, bright and very clean. Staff were always so helpful. They do a £20 dinner deal which was excellent value, I recommend the steak! No faults to be found with tthis hotel :-)
